Pollock refers to the Gadidae family and lives in large shoals that might reach the weight of 20 tones. Freshly caught pollock is very beautiful with a dark olive back and green and brown spots. It is told that the taste of fish depends on its visual appearance and it proves that pollock is really tasty. However, Russian people do not believe in it. It happened so because some time ago pollock was caught for its liver and caviar and nobody cared for its appearance.
